Carrie Underwood's Rockin' Night at the Hollywood Bowl

Pushing forth with her popular "Play On" tour, Carrie Underwood spent Saturday night performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Treating the sold-out crowd to a nearly two hour long show, the 2005 "American Idol" winner thrilled the audience as she belted out numerous hits and wowed them with continual costume changes

Meanwhile, fans of Miss Underwood can be excited over the just released book "Carrie Underwood: A Biography" by Vernell Hackett.

Talking to USA Today, Miss Hackett said, "It's a book that goes into the schools, into middle schools and high schools, for kids to have people to look up to that are celebrities."

Continuing on, Vernell added, "I looked for any stories they had starting a couple years before she went on American Idol, because I knew she was playing around there. I figured since she was a hometown girl, they were going to writer about her, and they did."

The Nashville-based author finished by saying, "Also, I found out things that she did in her home town for the local kids. Because I'm an animal-rights kind of person, I love the fact that she's so into helping animals. She's a vegetarian. I love to find out all the things she did about animals and animal rights. That was very cool about her."
